I have worked as a Professor cum Epidemiologist in the department of Community Medicine at GCS Medical College, Hospital & Research Center, Ahmedabad, (Gujarat state) India. I have been working as a faculty cum Epidemiologist with same institute since December 2011.

I have got 13 years of reach teaching experience in the field of Community Medicine/Public Health which includes public health research as well as practice. I have completed a Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management from Griffith University, Queensland, Australia (offline) during 2006. I have also been awarded a course of “Community Change in Public Health” by the Johns Hopkins University in 2012. (Online coursework).

I have several research publications to my name in various national/international journals in the field of Public Health and Community Medicine (ORCID: 0000-0003-2895-946X). I have served as an Editorial Board member to international journals namely Science Journal of Public Health, Clinical Medicine Research and Science Journal of Clinical Medicine. Many times, my research work and concepts are acknowledged in the newspapers and social blogs.

I have been serving as a Coder Physician for the Million Death Study organized by Center for Global Health Research (CGHR), Bangalore, (for Registrar General of India), since October 2012 (Online). I also have served as a Board of Studies Member, a Co-Guide and an Adjunct Faculty to the School of Public Health for Texila American University (through Hong Kong) for distant education. (Online).

I have served as a facilitator for the IMNCI (Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness) training (by supports of UNICEF and WHO) at Vadodara, Kheda and Anand districts of Gujarat state. I have also served as Monitor for the National Polio Surveillance Project under World Health Organization (WHO) during January and February 2008 for Anand District, Gujarat state. I have been guiding medical students (both undergraduate and postgraduate) for research projects. I have attended various international workshops and conferences. I also hold a current membership with the Public Health Association of Australia, ACT.

As I have an education background in public health care and after gaining work experience in teaching and training in medical institutes as a faculty of Community Medicine, I realized the need to work as a public health specialist further due to latest developments in health care sector. I preferred work as a public health specialist as I am a person who loves to keep studying and acquire knowledge as much as possible through experiences and academics in public health.
