Dr. Roopa A.K is an Assistant Professor at KLE Technological University, India from last 8 years. She has completed her PhD in the area development cement based Nano composite sensor for structural health monitoring application from KLE Technological University in 2023. She had completed Master of Technology in structural Engineering by securing Gold medal. She has explored her research areas in the self-sensing cement based nano composite for structural health monitoring applications. She has expanded her research areas on molecular dynamic simulation, FEA Analysis, 3D printing, IoT and machine learning based applications, to monitor the self-sensing composites.

She has published more than 15 technical papers in journals, national and international conferences. She has filed two patents and one patent is granted for 20 years. She has also filed the patent entitled Nano ceramic coating for cement composites.

She is the coauthor of “Introduction to Civil Engineering” textbooks. She has also filed the patent entitled Nano ceramic coating for cement composites. She has trained the many young undergraduate students by imparting the experiential learning in her course delivery.  She has also involved in administrative work as Head of PG Coordinator. She has guided more than 40 UG/PG students for final year projects. She has actively involved in real time construction work/Structural consultancy works.
