Prof. Dr. Daniel Bucur is a Full Professor at the Iasi University of Life Sciences, where he has been a key faculty member since 2007. With over three decades of experience, he has held numerous leadership roles, including Director of the Doctoral School of Engineering Sciences and the Director of the Pedotechnics Department. Professor Bucur is an internationally recognized expert in land reclamation, soil erosion control, and irrigation systems. His research spans diverse aspects of sustainable land management, with a focus on mitigating soil degradation and improving irrigation practices.

He has authored over 50 articles in ISI-quoted journals and several books and chapters on environmental protection and agricultural innovations. Professor Bucur has served as the project manager for numerous international and national research projects focused on ecological management, soil conservation, and advanced irrigation technologies. He is also a member of several prestigious scientific organizations, including the International Soil Tillage Research Organisation (ISTRO) and the European Society for Soil Conservation (ESSC).
