Jinlong Zhang is a Ph.D. candidate (2022-present) at the College of Urban and Environmental Sciences, Peking University, China. His research focuses on the development of advanced functional materials, particularly bioactive materials (e.g., enzyme catalysis), for the removal of emerging pollutants (e.g., PFAS, antibiotics, microplastics) and the recovery of energy/resources. He is also investigating the geochemical behavior of emerging pollutants in the environment. His work in these areas has led to significant progress.
He has published several (10+)peer-reviewed papers and serves as a reviewer for several high-impact SCI journals. His research incorporates advanced methodologies such as molecular dynamics simulations, density functional theory calculations, and advanced spectroscopic techniques to explore pollutant removal mechanisms and design/optimize environmental functional materials.
