Dr. Einar Artiles Ortega was born on the October 27th, 1979 (Santa Clara, Villa Clara, Cuba). Einar did his M.Sc. in the field of “Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny” at Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas (UCLV; Santa Clara, Cuba). In 2004, he became employed as a teacher at the Agricultural and Animal Sciences Faculty, UCLV, Santa Clara, Cuba. He did his Master in the field of “Advanced Animal Health” at UCLV. His joint (sandwich-BOF scholarship) PhD began in July 2015 in the field of “Forage, Silages and Ruminant Nutrition” at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny, Agricultural and Animal Sciences Faculty, UCLV, Cuba and, the Animal Production Department and Laboratory for Animal Production & Product Quality (LANUPRO), Faculty of Bioscience and Engineering, Ghent University, Belgium.Actually, and thanks to the experience obtained during his PhD program, he obtained the academic category of Auxiliary Professor, and he was promoted to Sub-director of the Centro de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (CIAP) in the Science, Technology, and Innovation fields.

2004 - 2010: Instructor, Department of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas.

2010 - 2021: Assistant professor, Department of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas.

2021 - Present: Auxiliary professor, Department of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas.

2021 – 2024: Sub-director of the Centro de Investigaciones Agropecuarias in the Science, Technology, and Innovation fields at Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas.
