Dr. Yusuf Oloruntoyin Ayipo is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry, Kwara State University, Malete, Ilorin, Nigeria, with over nine years of experience in teaching and research at university levels. He has a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, and an MSc and BSc in Chemistry with relevant skills. His expertise covers relevant disciplines including Drug Design, Bioorganic and Bioinorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences. His research interests include computer-aided drug design, synthesis and biological studies of bioactive molecules for neurological disorders, cancers and microbial diseases. He has made significant contributions to basic, pre-clinical and advanced studies on the mechanisms of human diseases and therapeutic designs with over fifty impact peer-reviewed publications. He has received prestigious awards including a PhD Scholarship by TETFUND Nigeria (2019), Graduate Assistant Fellowship, Universiti Sains Malaysia (2019-2022), Best Poster Presenter, CDR Colloquium, Universiti Sains Malaysia (2019), Sci-Mix Presenter, ACS SciMeeting, Atlanta (Fall 2021) and Sanggar Sanjung Award of Excellence in Publication, Universiti Sains Malaysia, 2021 and 2022. In addition, he has held several leadership positions, playing critical professional roles such as Editorial Board Member of reputable journals: BMC Molecular and Cell Biology, Discover Chemistry and Plos One, Guest Editor for Frontiers in Antibiotics and a Peer-Reviewer for over 20 journals. He is open to collaboration on exploration for solutions to human diseases through effective prevention and treatment.
