Dr. Aziz Ur Rahim Bacha worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences, COMSATS University Islamabad, and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen. He received his Ph.D. degree from Fudan University (39th in the QS World Rankings 2025) and published > 48 SCI articles (1st/corresponding author > 17) in top journals with a cumulative impact factor of >305. His research area is focused on AOPs for the treatment of water/wastewater, photo (electro) catalysis for environmental pollutants removal, and microplastic degradation. Currently he is serving as Editorial Board Member/Editor for 12 journals such as J Water Process Eng (IF = 6.3), Crit Rev Environ Sci Technol (IF = 11.4), Int. J. Electrochem (IF = 2.3), etc., and also a Lead Guest Editor in several journals for Special Issues such as Air, Soil, and Water Research (IF = 3.5), Water (IF = 3), Catalysis Research, etc. He is active reviewer for > 95 International Scientific Journals, having reviewed >1040 SCI articles to date. He is HEC-approved Ph.D. supervisor and a committee member for several International Conferences, contributing to their success through active participation. Recognized with prestigious awards, including the Best Research Award on New Science Invention 2021, Young Scientist Award 2022, and the Excellent and Outstanding Reviewer Award 2023.
