Dr. Marwa Ali is a civil engineer specializing in water resources engineering and management with over 20 years of experience in hydrology, shared water management, and natural disaster risk reduction. She holds a PhD in integrated water resources management and serves as a researcher and projects coordinator at the National Water Research Center (NWRC) in Egypt.

Dr. Ali is the director of the Coordination Office of International Sponsored Projects at NWRC, where she oversees a range of water-related projects, from capacity building to climate resilience. Her expertise spans hydrological modeling, sustainable water management, and the impacts of climate change on water systems.

In addition, she is a passionate advocate for climate adaptation, and gender inclusivity in STEM fields. She has collaborated extensively on international research initiatives and capacity-building programs, including projects focused on drought management, shared water resources, and innovative irrigation systems. Her work bridges science and policy, aiming to foster sustainable water solutions for Africa, the Middle East, and beyond.
