Dr. Said GACI, Director of Scientific and Technical Support for Research at the Central Research and Development Department (DC R&D) of Sonatrach. Said GACI received the Diploma in geophysical engineering and the Magister degree in petroleum economics and strategic management from the Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP), Boumerdés, Algeria, in 1997 and 2004, respectively, and the Magister and Ph.D. degrees in geophysics from the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), Algiers, Algeria, in 2002 and 2011, respectively.

He has worked in Sonatrach-Division Exploration for over 11 years (2004-2015) as a senior geophysicist, in the Algerian Institute of Petroleum (IAP) as the Head of Development and Valorization Department (R&D Direction) (2015-2016) and the Head of Geosciences Training Department (2016- Sep. 2024). Currently, he is the Director of Scientific and Technical Support for Research at the Central Research and Development Department (DC R&D) of Sonatrach.
