Tugrul Oktay received an MS in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from Istanbul Technical University (2009) and a PhD for aerospace engineering from the aerospace and ocean engineering department at Virginia Tech (2012). His main research areas are constrained modern control techniques (e.g. MPC and variance constrained control), helicopter modeling, UAVs, stochastic optimization. He has more than 150 published papers (SCI journal articles and conference papers). He is currently with Aeronautical Engineering, Erciyes University and at (Full) Professor Dr. position.
