Full Professor of Biomechanics and Ergonomics at the University of Toulon. Director of the International Institute of Biomechanics and Occupational ergonomics (since 2021), he was director and created several research laboratories and was a member of directors and establishment committees in universities and privates agencies. He is also a president or deputy director and/or Member of the Board of Directors of international scientific societies. Since 1994, he has published more than 230 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 200 international conferences. In the last 25 years, he has received a number of research awards as a principal investigator and in collaboration with partners from all around the globe. He serves as an editorial board member of important biomechanics, sport, biomedical engineering, healthcare, occupational health, disability, robotic journals. He has reviewer in many international journals and in private and public grant agencies for the evaluation of research projects. He was a supervisor of more than 35 PhDs and 55 students, including bachelors and masters.

Scientific Research: The scientific activity mostly concerns musculoskeletal disorders and the relative effects of working conditions, motor impairments, diseases and aging in the context of global and public health, healthcare professional, rehabilitation, disability, industrial engineering and sport, particularly regarding the following topics: work-related musculoskeletal disorders, risk factors, risk assessment, prevalence, occupational ergonomics, occupational health, dynamic and kinematic motion analysis, posture, biomechanical modeling and simulation, motion analysis, muscle modeling, muscular fatigue, safety, occupational health, sport performance, active living, sport medicine, intelligente wheelchair, neuro or biorobotics.
