Arushanov Mikhail Lvovich, born in 1947, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In 1970 he graduated from the Physics Department of Tashkent State University, specializing in Atmospheric Physics. In 1989 he defended his PhD thesis, and in 2000 his doctoral thesis. I have more than 180 published works, including 10 monographs, Professor.
Research areas. Atmospheric physics, meteorology, climatology, solar-atmospheric relations, numerical and dynamic-stochastic methods of weather forecasting, construction of weather forecast models based on macroscopic nonlocality, modern methods of environmental monitoring, research into the causes of extreme changes in the climate system of planet Earth.
Currently, I hold the position of head of the environmental monitoring laboratory at the Scientific Research Hydrometeorological Institute in Tashkent.
Honorary member of the Geographical Society of Uzbekistan. Prepared 6 candidates of science and three doctors of science in the specialty of Atmospheric Physics, Meteorology, and Agrometeorology.
