Dr. Sabita Tuladhar is a public health researcher and epidemiologist with over 20 years of experience in health systems strengthening, maternal and child health, and evidence-based policy. She has led major research initiatives and monitoring and evaluation (MEL) efforts with USAID, the Government of Nepal, and global partners.

She is currently Senior Researcher in Health Systems and Epidemiology at Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS), where she leads research on childhood eye health under the UK’s NIHR-funded Preventing Childhood Blindness Project with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Previously, she served at USAID/Nepal for more than a decade, overseeing MEL for an annual health portfolio of US$53 million, managing the Nepal Demographic and Health Surveys (2016, 2022) and Health Facility Surveys (2015, 2021), and building local capacity for data-driven programming.

Dr. Tuladhar holds a PhD in Medical Research (LMU Munich, DAAD Scholar), a Master of Health Sciences in Health Informatics (University of Canterbury, NZAid Scholar), and degrees in Anthropology and Public Health from Tribhuvan University.

She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, serves as Academic Editor at PLOS ONE, and has received more than 20 awards from USAID and the US Embassy for excellence in evidence-based programming and leadership.
