Zhang Gulan, Male, From Shiyan, Hubei Province, holds a PhD, is a Level 2 Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Institute of Geophysics at Southwest Petroleum University, and a permanent researcher at the National Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology and Development Engineering. He is a recipient of the Sichuan Province "Tianfu Emei Plan" Innovation Leading Talent, Sichuan Province "Tianfu Emei Plan" Entrepreneurial Leading Talent, and Sichuan Province Outstanding Young Scientific and Technological Talent. He is also a recipient of the Fu Chengyi Youth Science and Technology Award and the Liu Guangding Geophysical Youth Science and Technology Award, and a National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker in Petroleum and Chemical Industry . He is the head of the Exploration Geophysics Discipline Construction at Southwest Petroleum University. He is a member of the SEG Continuing Education Committee, the Geophysical Exploration Professional Committee of the China Petroleum Society, and the Intelligent Geophysics Committee and Exploration Geophysics Committee of the Chinese Geophysical Society . He serves as an expert reviewer for the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Association for Science and Technology, Beijing Municipality, Chongqing Municipality, Sichuan Province, Guangdong Province, Jilin Province, and China National Petroleum Corporation.
He has presided over 15 national-level projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, sub-projects of the National Major Science and Technology Project, the Sichuan Provincial Outstanding Young Talents Program, and key projects of the Sichuan Provincial Foundation; and 20 key projects funded by oil and gas companies. He has received 22 provincial and ministerial awards/honors; published 2 English monographs; and authored 150 papers, including 71 SCI papers and 13 EI papers .
