Dr. Imtiaz Ali holds PhD in Petroleum Engineering and has 15 years of diverse teaching and research experience across Pakistan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and UK. As a distinguished academic and industry professional, Ali has delivered numerous SPE Distinguished Guest Lectures and serves as a key member of national and international committees, including the National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC), HEC and Engineering Curriculum Review and Development Committee (ECRDC), PEC, contributing to the development of engineering curricula.
With over 25 research articles published in prestigious journals, 5 book chapters, and successful completion of multiple funded projects, Dr. Ali has made significant contributions to the oil and gas discipline. Currently, as the Chairperson of the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, Ali is committed to academic excellence and advancing industry-academia collaboration.
Ali's research interests include Development of Non-damaging Drilling Fluids, CFD, Formation Damage, and Enhanced Oil Recovery.
