I am Mohammad Forouhar Vajargah, born on August 26, 1992, in Vajargah, Guilan Province, Iran. My academic journey began at Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, where I pursued a B.Sc. in Fisheries Science with a specialization in Aquatic Ecology from 2010 to 2014. During my undergraduate studies, I was recognized as a top student and researcher, which granted me direct admission to the M.Sc. program in Aquaculture (Breeding and Rearing of Aquatic Organisms) at the same university under the Exceptional Talents program. I completed my master’s degree in 2016, once again achieving top academic standing and I was accepted into the PhD entrance exam.

This achievement allowed me to return to my home province and continue my academic career at the University of Guilan, where I specialized in Aquatic Ecology from 2016 to 2021. My Ph.D. years were a period of both academic and professional growth—I was honored as the Top Researcher at both the university and provincial levels, and I also served as a lecturer and teaching assistant, mentoring students in fisheries science and environmental research.

My research focuses on aquatic toxicology, heavy metal pollution, fish physiology, environmental pollutants, aquatic ecology, and environmental monitoring. Over the years, I have authored and co-authored numerous publications in national and international journals, covering topics such as environmental assessment, pollution mitigation, aquatic biodiversity, and sustainable fisheries management. I have also been actively involved in field research across various aquatic ecosystems, from the Caspian Sea to wetlands, aiming to bridge the gap between environmental science and practical conservation.

Beyond research, I am committed to fostering scientific collaboration, promoting environmental awareness, and training the next generation of researchers in fisheries and aquatic ecology. My ultimate goal is to contribute to the sustainable management of aquatic resources and to support policies that protect both biodiversity and the livelihoods dependent on it.
