Prof. Dr. Gholamhossein Sodeifian (1971) graduated in chemical engineering (M.S) from University of Tehran, in 1997 and received his doctorate (Ph.D), in polymer engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, in 2002. Prof. Sodeifian is currently academic member of Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Kashan. His research group focused on extraction of essential and seed oils, solubility measurement of solid medicines, and micro- and nanoparticle formation of pharmaceutical materials in supercritical carbon dioxide (SCCO2) via various methods. He has also developed, for the first time in the world, a new and efficient technique for nanoparticle formation, i.e., ultrasonic assisted rapid expansion of supercritical solution into a liquid solvent (US-RESOLV) as well as with polymers. He has published more than 111 ISI scientific peer-reviewed papers and written several technical books (9), with 5 inventions. Furthermore, he has developed two semi-empirical models (Sodeifian’s models) for drugs solubility. He has prepared several anticancer drugs nanoparticles using supercritical technology. Prof. Sodeifian has been assigned and included in the worlds’ top 2% of scientists list in 2019, 2020, 2021 2022, 2023 and 2024 as well as top 1% of scientists list in 2024 and 2025. He is now the guest Editor of “Molecules” Journal as well as advisory board of several scientific Journals. Furthermore, Prof. Sodeifian has yet been the expert reviewer of more than 50 International Scientific Journals. Finally, he is the continues membership of various scientific societies.
