Irina NAM was born in Kazakhstan in 1955, where she graduated from middle school with a mathematical degree. She studied at the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University named after M.Lomonosov , graduating in 1978. For 10 years she worked in Belarus at the Institute of Agriculture. Then she moved to Russia and worked in scientific institutes and universities, where she established two large regional research centers on Biotechnology.
She taught molecular biology, biotechnology, and biochemistry at universities, supervised students' term papers and graduate theses. Her husband is a Doctor of Sciences, Professor at Bryansk State University. Two adult daughters. Elder granddaughter studies at the ESSEC Business School in Paris, France.
