Rizwan Ali Kumbhar is a PhD scholar in Crop Genetics and Breeding at Sichuan Agricultural University, China. His research focuses on enhancing β-glucan content in hulless barley, aiming to improve agricultural sustainability and stress tolerance. He is actively involved in key projects funded by the Sichuan Science and Technology Project, the Natural Science Foundation of Sichuan Province, and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Mr. Kumbhar holds a Master's in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Sindh Agriculture University, Pakistan. He has led agricultural training programs, including instructing over 1000 farmers and coordinating several initiatives with organizations like Vital Green (Pvt.) Ltd. and Winrock International. His research has been published in esteemed journals such as Molecular BreedingPlant Molecular Biology ReportsFoods, and Agronomy. Mr. Kumbhar has also presented his work at international conferences and actively participated in various training programs. He is a member of the National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS), Pakistan. With his strong background in crop genetics, teaching, and project leadership, Mr. Kumbhar is committed to advancing agricultural research and promoting sustainable farming practices.
