Igor Klepikov was born and studied in the USSR. General and pediatric surgeon of the highest qualification, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor continued his surgical practice after emigration. He achieved the greatest success in his scientific career in studying the dynamics of the inflammatory process in the lungs, supplementing the classical materials of medical science with the results of his own research. A new concept of views on the nature of acute nonspecific inflammation in the lungs has been successfully clinically tested and allowed to substantiate the possibility of guaranteed prevention of complications of the disease. He has published more than 350 scientific papers.
- Currently, following his retirement, he continues to engage in analytical work and expert assessment regarding the state of the problem of acute nonspecific inflammation of lung tissue—an issue whose resolution had remained at an impasse for many years.
