Dr. Shuyuan Zhao was born in China in Oct. 23, 1980. Now she is an assistant professor of School of Astronautics at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China (Website:Â http://homepage.hit.edu.cn/shuyuanzhao). She received her B.S. degrees in Material Forming and Control Engineering from Northeastern University in 2003, and her M.S. and Ph.D degree in Materials Science and Engineering from HIT, China, in 2005 and 2009, respectively. Dr. Shuyuan Zhao went to postdoctoral research on Mechanical Engineering at HIT in 2009. She was a visiting scholar of Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at University of California, San Diego from 2014 to 2015. She was then sponsored to work in Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, Germany from 2018 to 2019. Â In the fields of thermal protection materials and structure equipment technology, she has achieved a batch of fundamental research findings and core technology groups with independent intellectual property rights.
