Dr. Paul Andrew Bourne is a Jamaican quantitative social scientist, demographer, epidemiologist, statistician, and higher education leader whose career is defined by intellectual rigor, analytical precision, and disciplined productivity. He holds a DrPH in Public Health from Atlantic International University, a PhD in Education (Leadership) from Northern Caribbean University, and graduate training in Demography and Applied Statistics from the University of the West Indies, Mona. Known for methodological exactness and high-output scholarship, he has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers spanning public health, criminology, governance, cybersecurity, leadership, and the social determinants of health, demonstrating both statistical depth and interdisciplinary range.
As a former Acting Director of Institutional Research and current Assistant Professor at Northern Caribbean University, Dr. Bourne delivers undergraduate and graduate instruction in statistics, biostatistics, leadership, and advanced research methodology. He supervises master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, providing rigorous guidance in quantitative design, multivariate analysis, survey methodology, and scholarly publication. His teaching integrates applied statistical modeling with real-world datasets, strengthening students’ analytical competence, methodological precision, and research productivity. Through these roles, he brings strategic thinking, systems-level analysis, and evidence-based leadership to higher education and national development.
