Dr. Hesham Maged Mohamed AbdelFattah is an Egyptian neuropsychiatrist, academic, and hospital leader whose career bridges clinical psychiatry, hospital management, and academic research. Born on September 15, 1972, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Cairo University and later specialized in neuropsychiatry and hospital management. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Abbassia Mental Health Hospital in Cairo, one of Egypt’s leading psychiatric institutions, and is affiliated with Cairo University’s Faculty of Medicine. In addition, he has held consultancy roles at the Egyptian Police Academy, Dar El Mona Rehabilitation Center, and the New Road Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Treatment, reflecting his wide influence across clinical, academic, and institutional settings.
Dr. AbdelFattah has published extensively in psychiatry, neuroscience, and mental health, with research interests spanning stress management, emotional intelligence in crises, sleep disorders, and leadership in psychiatry.
