Experienced Academic Researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. I am skilled in Research, Industry exposure, course development, higher degree supervision, Teamwork, and Project management. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on Engineering from University of Queensland, Australia and work experiences in Asia and Europe. Expertise in Mechanical Design and Energy and Process Engineering.
I always value real world applications in my research and strive to give researchers an experience that is beyond what is in the current form. I am excited to share and continue to support and collaborate with the other researchers to expand its potential with my connections, experience and capability and I look forward to the opportunity not only to research but also work to develop new ones and provide advice.
My current research interest is in the physical responses of living cells and tissues of food plant materials to different processes for drying food and application of solar energy in drying operations. I have performed experiments and simulations to obtain a better understanding of plant cell micromechanics, which has resulted in many publications. This research provides insights beneficial to industrialists for controlling process conditions to achieve a desired dried food product while optimising the energy and quality. The knowledge obtained will be useful for the industry to reduce the energy cost and to increase the quality of the dried food by controlling the volume changes of foods.
