Prof. Asaad Ahmed Ibrahiem Ghanem (born July 19, 1965, in Dakahlia, Egypt) is an Egyptian ophthalmologist and professor at Mansoura University. He graduated in medicine from Mansoura University in 1988, later earning his M.S. (1993) and M.D. (2001) with theses focused on glaucoma. Since 1990, he has worked at Mansoura Ophthalmic Center, progressing from demonstrator to full professor in 2012.
He is recognized for his expertise in glaucoma, cataract surgery, corneal diseases, refractive surgery, and retinal disorders. Prof. Ghanem has published more than 70 scientific papers, presented at numerous conferences, and reviewed nearly 200 manuscripts. He has also trained internationally in the Netherlands, UK, and France, enhancing his specialization in glaucoma and refractive surgery.
