Lyndon Nii Adjiri Sackey, was born on 4th April, 1979, in Accra, Ghana. He has Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry and Technology from the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague-Czech Republic. Before his Ph.D., he worked as a landfill supervisor and assistant operations manager at Zoomlion Ghana Ltd and Waste Landfills Company Ltd, respectively, all subsidiaries of the Jospong Group of Companies in Ghana. He has been in the waste management profession for many years and his area of interest is landfill management. He has been certified as Landfill Operations Manager by the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) and attended many conferences and seminars on solid waste management.

Currently, my area of research is in aquatic ecotoxicology. He has done some work on the effect of tropical wood leachates on aquatic organisms and the toxicity of aged landfill leachates to Lemna minor and Daphnia magna. He has also published extensively in the toxicity of food products. Some of these works have been published in high-impact factor journals. He has been part of several international projects and contributed to conferences.

He is currently a senior lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology at the Department of Environmental Science.
