Abstract

There is no substitute for climate change, a worldwide issue primarily caused by greenhouse gas emissions and global warming that calls for creative and sustainable solutions. The manipulation of materials at nano levels is known as nanotechnology, and it has promising future prospects as a field with a wide range of applications, including food, energy, agriculture, and environmental issues. Thus, this gives us hope that nanotechnology is finally well-suited to play a key role in many fronts addressing global challenges and significantly contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Numerous nanostructured materials, including nanocomposites, functionalized nanomaterials, MOFs, carbonaceous materials, nanozeolites, and nano-silica, show promise as environmental protection agents. These agents are used in wastewater treatment, greenhouse gas sequestration, bioenergy, remediation, catalysis, and sustainable materials.
