Abstract

This reflective paper examines a personal experience during a One Health webinar, focusing on the interplay between individual voice, expert discourse, and the practical challenges of interdisciplinary collaboration. By documenting a direct intervention made during the session, the paper reflects on the tension between conceptual advocacy and meaningful engagement. Particular attention is given to the role of public health education and environmental psychology as underemphasised yet essential components of the One Health framework. This reflection further considers the emotional and intellectual acceptance of asymmetry in academic spaces. It argues that while collaboration remains central, its effectiveness depends on humility, listening, and the translation of global frameworks into individual-level action.
