My name is Mahmoud L. Sakr.  I am a professor of clinical toxicology at the faculty of medicine of Ain Shams University located in Cairo the capital of Egypt. Ain Shams University is a leading governmental university not only in Egypt but in the Middle east and North Africa.

I have been born in Egypt in 1966 and have been graduated from the same faculty in 1990. In 1993 I started working as a staff member in Toxicology department of our faculty and in the well-known Poison Control Center of Ain Shams University Hospitals. I have been promoted to a full professor in 2012.

In 2014 I started working as the director of the poison control center of Ain shams university hospitals. I have participated in many workshops and meetings organized by WHO in Middle East countries including Egypt Jordan and Kuwait. I have also participated in updating the manual of WHO Guidelines for establishing a poison center.

My wife is a professor of gastroenterology and hepatology in the same faculty, and we have two sons. My hobbies are reading and watching football.
