I graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2001. Between 2002-2008, I worked as a resident in the General Surgery Department at Haydarpasa Training and Research Hospital.
As a member of the Turkish Surgical Association, I worked as an observer with the association’s scholarship at Cleveland Clinic, Digestive Disease and Surgery Institute, Colorectal Surgery Department (Cleveland, OH) in 2013. I also worked as a visiting fellow in the Colorectal Surgery Department, New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College, NY in 2013.
I received the title of Associate Professor in 2014, and the title of Professor in 2019 at the University of Health and Sciences Turkey, Umraniye Training and Research Hospital.
I am a member of the Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery and I have various memberships of a lot of scientific organizations in the field of surgery.
I conducted and collaborated numerous academic studies and researches. Most of my studies were published in national or international SCI or SCI-E journals. I also participated as a speaker in various national congresses and symposiums. My special interests are; colorectal cancer surgery, cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC, benign anorectal diseases and proctological interventions, laparoscopic surgery and endoscopic procedures.
