Dr. Angeliki Bolou brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery, a position she has held since 2016. Prior to her academic tenure, she held various clinical roles including Diabetes Specialist Midwife, Lead of the Anti-D clinic, and Research Midwife. Her doctoral studies focused on Diabetes in pregnancy and the prevention of Type 2 Diabetes in the postnatal period. Dr. Bolou serves as the link lecturer at Newham Hospital and she is a module leader for modules focused on Obstetric Emergencies, high-risk pregnancies, and research-related topics. Her expertise spans diabetes in pregnancy, obstetric emergencies, reproductive health, women’s health, and assisted conception. She has won several awards for her contribution to diabetes and midwifery education.

Dr. Angeliki Bolou has focused her research interest in Diabetes in pregnancy and postnatal period, in nutrition in pregnancy and the impact to the developing fetus, in high risk pregnancies and handling obstetric emergencies.
