Dr. Yanhong Peng is a lecturer and a master's supervisor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Chongqing University of Technology. In addition to his academic career, Dr. Peng is currently engaged in postdoctoral research at the Chongqing Green Intelligent Technology Research Institute, part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, starting in January 2025. He is an active member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS), the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME), and a committee member of the Medical Engineering Integration Branch of the China Medical and Health Cultural Association. Dr. Peng is also a member of the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel and a recipient of the prestigious MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan) Excellence Graduate Program Scholarship from April 2020 to March 2024.

Dr. Peng has published more than ten research papers in prestigious international journals, such as Expert Systems With Applications, Biomimetic Intelligence and Robotics, and Sensors and Actuators A: Physical. He has also presented his work at prominent international robotics conferences, including the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) and the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), among others.

He has served as a guest editor for the Actuators journal and is an advisory board member for the Robotics journal. As a reviewer, Dr. Peng has been actively involved in the peer-review process for several top-tier international journals and conferences, including Expert Systems With Applications, Alexandria Engineering Journal, Biomimetic Intelligence and Robotics, Neurocomputing, and prestigious robotics conferences like IEEE IROS 2024, IEEE ICRA 2025, and IEEE ROBIO 2023.
