I am working as a lecturer in department of pharmacy. I am a dedicated researcher with a PhD in Cell Physiology and Pharmacology, specializing in platelet interactions with human erythroleukemia cells. My doctoral research focused on analyzing platelet calcium signaling and its impact on the progression of co-incubated human erythroleukemia cells, utilizing spectrofluorimetric analysis. I explored G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) and purinergic receptors, discovering that ATP and ADP released from activated platelets play a significant role in modulating calcium signaling in these cells.
In addition to conducting ATP assays, I performed platelet aggregation assays and investigated store-operated calcium entry, examining variability among individuals. My work also included analyzing STIM1 and ORAI1 expression, revealing important differences that may influence calcium signaling pathways.
Using confocal microscopy, I carried out single-cell studies to observe morphological changes in human erythroleukemia cells when co-incubated with activated platelets versus stimulation with ATP and ADP.
Additionally, I hold an MPhil in Pharmacology, where I studied the pharmacokinetics of interactions between grape juice and omeprazole in human subjects. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, providing me with a solid foundation in pharmaceutical sciences.
I am passionate about advancing research in cell signaling and pharmacology, and I am eager to contribute my expertise to innovative projects in these fields.
