  • Child Growth and Development, Nutrition; Stunting and short stature, oxidative stress; FMF; Autism, Diabetes; obesity, Metabolic syndrome, NAFLD, Down Syndrome.
  • Principle Investigator of Internal NRC project entitled: Evaluation of hepatopathy in type 1 Diabetic children and adolescents and its relation to body adiposity using Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse Imaging and assessment of Micro RNAs levels in blood.
  • Co- PI of the Internal NRC project entitled: Study of the Impact of Gut Microbiota Modulation on Management of Diabetes, Body adiposity, Inflammation and Oxidative Stress in Type 2 Diabetic Patients and relation to Epigenetics.
  • Member of internal projects funded by NRC entitled:

1- The efficacy of micronutrients and Vitamin D on glycemic control and body composition among Egyptian children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus.

2- Inflammatory and oxidative stress biomarkers among obese premenopausal women with metabolic syndrome and their role in the disease complications.

3- Obesity Profile among Egyptian School Children and Adolescents: Prediction and Nutritional Intervention.

Thesis Supervision:

  1. PhD: ‘’Laser Acupuncture Effects On Anthropometric Parameters And Inflammatory Markers In Obese Adolescents’’.
  2. PhD: “Assessment of plasma Zonulin and Copeptin levels as markers of metabolic disorders in childhood obesity”.
  3. MD: “Study of Some Oxidative Stress Biomarkers and their Related Gene Polymorphism Associated with Micro Vascular Complications in Type1 Diabetic Children and Adolescents.
