Haidan Chen, M.D., Ph.D., is Director of Spinal Surgery at the First Clinical Medical College of Three Gorges University and Yichang Central People’s Hospital. He oversees a 90-bed tertiary referral center performing more than 2,000 procedures annually, having established day surgery for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures and full-endoscopic treatment of lumbar degenerative disorders. Funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other grants, he has published over 30 peer-reviewed SCI papers on osteosarcoma immunity and endoscopic spinal surgery (H-index 11). Over 60 papers have been published in core Chinese journals.Dr. Chen serves on standing committees of multiple academic societies and as a young editorial board member for several journals, and has received honors including CNKI Highly Cited Scholar and the Yichang Youth Science & Technology Award.

  • The research spans a broad range of areas, including basic studies in tumor immunology and molecular immunology, protein glycosylation in disease, early diagnosis and pathogenic mechanisms of spinal disorders, development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, as well as interdisciplinary medicine–engineering integration and translational clinical applications., as well as medical education research, etc.
