Skills and Practical Experience
- Adult stem cells propagation in the laboratory, handling and preservation under aseptic settings starting since 2013.
- Optimizing culture systems, extracellular matrix components, and exogenous growth factors for the enrichment and expansion of adult stem cells.
- Isolation of primary cells: hMSCs (form bone marrow, umbilical cord blood, Wharton`s jelly, adipose tissue), human mononuclear cells from peripheral blood.
- Development of an efficient system for culture and maintenance of human mesenchymal stem cells.
- Experience in a range of tissue culture techniques including 3D and Co-culture systems.
- Experience in stable cell line generation
- Different differentiation techniques to different cell types (osteogenic, chondrogenic linage, and insulin secreting cells).
- Imaging, light, inverted, and fluorescence microscopy
- Experience in molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA/protein) since 2004
- Experience required in cellular and biochemical assay development and execution: cell culture and ELISA; flow cytometry, and imaging techniques.
