Dr. Hanadi Albasha is a registered general physician (GP) from Syria, currently working as infection control director at a private 209 bed capacity hospital. She has been based in the Saudi Arabia since 2016 working as infection control officer. She held positions of director of infection prevention and control, infection control officer and team leader as well as participating of a number of infection prevention and control educational conferences and courses.

Her clinical experience and qualifications are in infection prevention and control and her academic qualifications are:

  • Doctor of Medicine: Medicine, 08/2009 Damascus University – Damascus-Syria.
  • Professional Diploma in Infectious diseases, 2025 Royal College of Physicians of Ireland RCPI.
  • Certified infection control (CIC) professional, 2017 -2030. Certification board of infection prevention and epidemiology (CBIC) – USA.
  • Advanced Leadership Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (AL-CIP) 2025-2030 certification board of infection prevention and epidemiology (CBIC) – USA.
  • Former Certified Infection Auditor from general directorate of infection prevention and control GDIPC, MOH, Saudi Arabia.
  • BICSL trainer (basics of infection prevention and control skills trainer, GDIPC, MOH, 2023-2026- Riyadh, Riyadh Region.
  • Licensed as internal medicine resident from Saudi Council of health care specialties.

Dr. Hanadi experience has included operational roles such as Director of infection prevention and control department and infection control officer and team leader in tertiary level facility at Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Currently she is holding the role as infection prevention, CSSD director.

Dr. Hanadi had participated in a number of infection prevention and control courses and conferences (Oral research presenter at Saudi ID Week 2022, Organizer at Infection prevention and control conference organizing committee 2019 IPC conference, Riyadh KSA, Speaker at 3rd CIC preparatory course, Almosa specialized hospital, Alahsa, KSA).
